Twenty years of inbound. Four years all-in on AI.

Helium42 didn’t start from a deck. It started from a frustration: most AI consulting either dazzles with demos and disappears, or hands over an opaque black box. Neither builds capability. We chose a third path.

Inbound foundations

Clwyd founds Whitehat — a HubSpot Diamond partner serving European mid-market. Two decades of running content systems, MarTech stacks, and revenue ops for B2B teams becomes the lens we look at AI through today.

The first AI experiments

Early production work with GPT-2 and bespoke NLP pipelines feeds into our AI development practice. Most projects of that era were useful for two weeks and shelved. The pattern was clear: AI without an operational home dies in the demo.

Workshops & transformation

200+ AI transformation workshops with senior leaders across Europe. Boards understood the opportunity. The repeated blocker was always the same — nobody internally owned the system after launch.

Helium42 launches

Peter joins as co-founder. We codify the education-to-implementation methodology into a single offering — the Helium42 engagement model — with The Content System and Salesman Sam as productised flagships.

How Helium42 uses AI itself.

  • Public content. Drafts of articles, landing pages, and case-study summaries are AI-assisted and human-edited before publication. Headline statistics are human-verified against client engagements.
  • Client work. Every AI-built artefact (content, response, lead score, recommendation) is logged, attributable, and auditable by the client team. Clients always retain the right to remove AI from any process.
  • Personal data. We do not train external models on client data. Models used in production engagements are documented per project, including provider, region, and retention policy.
  • Compliance posture. We follow the EU AI Act (Article 50 transparency obligations, effective 2 August 2026) and the UK ICO 2025 guidance on AI in marketing. Compliance details and current sub-processor list available on request.
